Custom Creations at Camp! (Saddle River 2026 Week 3)

Our campers are learning to apply their creative instincts to technical computer software! In our Beginner 3D Printing class, students are designing and printing custom phone case backings, which is a fun way to show off their personal artistic style through a useful item. To create the accessories, students are using a Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software to perfect the shape into something functional and beautiful. Campers also have the opportunity to freely create anything they desire. Many have printed small toys and figurines representing their favorite animals. As some of the campers have learned, 3D printing doesn’t always go right. A small error in design can make the piece fracture quickly. While 3D printing, campers learn from their mistakes and create a new and better design!
