Welcome to Wild Wayne City! (Week 4 Classes)
Howdy partners! I don’t think I’ve seen you ‘round these parts before. I’m the Sheriff here in Wild Wayne City, and I’d be pleased as punch to give you the lay of the land as you’re passin’ through. I just hope you don’t have a chicken allergy because my Deputy Sheriff — his name’s VIC — well he happens to be a Very Important Chicken…
Anyway, on with our tour! Over here is our Bank. This week, the Banker is teaching some of the locals about “Financial Literacy” and this new-fangled thing called “The Stock Market.” All that money business is above my paygrade, but the prospectors have told me NOT to buy a new coop for Deputy VIC on credit because of something called “interest”, and I feel like I should trust them on that. We’ll find out tomorrow whose investments went belly-up and whose investments struck gold!

Over yonder we’ve got a group of youngsters callin’ themselves “The Right Brain Mix”. They’ve been focused on learning the culture and customs of our neighbors to the south, Mexico, this week. It’s real important to us here in Wild Wayne City to respect ‘ and help our neighbors. We’ve got to look after each other out here in the wild! Speakin’ of wild, did you know that nature is a HUGE part of Mexican and ancient Mesoamerican cultures? The Right Brain crew paid hommage by creating a collage of natural items collected on a nature walk earlier this week!

Are you feelin’ alright after the long ride into town? We’ve got a top-notch chemist who set up shop there next to the watering hole. The shop is called “Crazy Chemworks” and those chemists-in-training can tell ya all about a liquid’s pH measurement, color-changing chemical reactions, even frozen CO2 that makes fog on demand! They’re hard at work gainin’ important knowledge and skills in that chemistry lab, but I can always hear lots of laughter comin’ from there so they must enjoy mixin’ up that oobleck and whatnot.

Oh, and of course, that over there is the Sheriff’s Station. Normally it’s just me and Deputy Sheriff VIC, but right now, we’ve got three bandits in there trying to figure out how to “Escape Rooms” and sending each other on “Scavenger Hunts.” Most of their clues are about some cartoon guy named Mario… I don’t understand a lick of it, but it’s nice that they’re flexing their mind muscles and enjoying each other’s company, regardless.

We’ve got some exciting events and contests comin’ up later this week. I reckon I can send word by Pony Express if you want to keep up on the local happenings. Until then, yeehaw and happy trails!
