Innovation in Action: Highlights from Day One – Short Hills Week 5

The first day of camp is always filled with excitement, and this year was no exception! From the moment campers arrived, they were eager to dive into hands-on experiences that combined creativity, technology, and design. Throughout the day, campers explored new skills, collaborated with friends, and discovered just how much they can create when imagination meets innovation.

In our AI Tools class, campers experimented with AI-powered tools to generate original songs, exploring how technology can help bring musical ideas to life. In robotics, campers jumped right into building with VEX IQ where they began designing and assembling robots equipped with claws capable of picking up and moving objects. Meanwhile, our future fashion designers began exploring the foundations of fashion design. Campers learned about the essential elements that designers use to create clothing, including color, line, texture, shape, and balance.

Day one was packed with curiosity, collaboration, and plenty of smiles. We’re just getting started, and if today is any indication, it’s going to be an incredible week of creativity, innovation, and fun.
