Week 5 Happenings in Wayne

It’s hard to believe it, but this week marks the HALFWAY point of our 2026 Summer Camp season! Time flies when you’re having fun.

This week, the youngsters in Left Brain Mix have been having a BLAST using the Lego robotics kits. The highlight so far has been building and programming a Lego swing that can spin 360 degrees as many times as they program it to!

In Mock Trial, campers have learned about the process of presenting a case in court and have been role-playing fake court cases as the prosecutor, defense attorney, and witnesses. They are gearing up to present a trial of their own on Friday!

The Scratch Beginner Programming class has enjoyed learning how to use the Scratch program to make their character perform different commands like navigating through a maze and adding sound effects that play when triggered by an action. They have also had a ton of fun interacting with the Youngster class to show off their coding skills and even gave the Youngsters a coding mini-lesson!

Our afternoon campers have been hard at work honing their Public Speaking skills and going through the design and marketing process to create their own Shark Tank Entrepreneur pitch that will be shared on Friday. There are some great presentations coming your way, so be sure to check back!
