Although it is our last week of camp, the youngest campers at Somerset are working harder than ever in Youngster Engineering Exploration and Youngster Chemistry Experiments with their teacher, Kenny.
During the week, our engineers have been completing hands-on projects including bridges, ziplines, recycled bottle cars, and shoebox foosball games. In addition, students have been learning about the different types of engineering such as civil, mechanical, and electrical.
Our chemists have been learning about the chemistry behind science through hands-on experiments including making soap and slime, exploring chemical reactions with Skittles, and creating a lemon electrical circuit. They have done a great job learning what it takes to become a chemist.
We are so glad the youngsters have been exploring many STEAM concepts this summer!
