Storming into Summer at Short Hills! Short Hills Week 1

BOOM! A cloudy day quickly turned to a torrential downpour at Short Hills, ushering in the first day of camp with a bang! Some campers, of course, didn’t mind running to and from their parents’ cars during pick up and drop off — but for the rest, there was plenty of room under our Site Directors’ umbrellas!

The storm couldn’t dampen the excitement of our campers or staff, many of whom are bringing their energy and talent to Ivy for the first time. Among the new friends are plenty of familiar faces, happy to get to chat over a round of board games as the rain came down outside.

There was plenty of excitement to be had inside the classroom as well! Budding Storytellers tried their hand at short fiction, a team of aspiring Filmmakers ventured out for some location scouting between the intermittent rains, and the Youngsters got to share their LEGO creations with our counselors. There is simply too much to do to let some rain ruin the fun!

As memorable as this stormy weather is, we certainly hope it clears up later in the week. This Theme Thursday is Sports Day, after all — we’ve got big plans for what comes next!
