Up, Up, & Away! Highlighting Aerospace & NASA Journey to Outer Space

This week at Chatham, the campers are taking flight in both Engineering of Flight & Aerospace and NASA Journey to Outer Space. In Aerospace, the students learned all about the dynamics of airplanes through making their own models with paper. The students then got to do trial and error and test their airplanes. They practiced the same method with parachutes to understand what makes a parachute effective. The campers seemed to really enjoy this!

In NASA, our mad scientists got up to some crazy stuff. They experienced dry ice, made some slime, and learned about rockets and star maps. These future astronauts seem ready to launch away super soon!

It’s great to have these classes back at Chatham and see our campers putting their thinking caps on and flying away!
