How many kids does it take to build a bridge? Let’s find out in Civil Engineering.

This week in Saddle River, campers are exploring the processes by which bridges and buildings are built in our Civil Engineering class.

Campers got the chance to participate in the construction of a 36 ft. model of a suspension bridge.

The campers demonstrated reading the blueprints, building up the supports, constructing the suspensions and laying down the spans.

There were a few difficulties the campers had to work through as they were creating the bridge but through trials and tribulations, had constructed a strong supported suspension bridge that was held down by supports.

Campers simulated cars going to and frow along the bridge and were very excited to see their final product!
