Somerset is Decked out in Country Western

Howdy!! This week in Somerset, our Theme Thursday was Country Western day. But, the fun didn’t just start on Thursday, we have been ye-hawing all week. It all started with our Western Rodeo break activity, where we practiced our do-si-dos and cancans (a classic country western dance). Next, we played Human Bingo, where we searched for which campers owned a cowboy hat, knew a country song, etc. Today our very own cowgirls, Celine and Kathy, taught the camp how to do classic country dances such as the Hoedown Throwdown and the Cotton-Eye-Joe.

Tomorrow the fun continues, we are looking forward to our country themed scavenger hunt where campers will interact with “real cowboys and cowgirls” (TEACHERS) and unravel the story of the legendary champion of bull riding (OUR SITE DIRECTOR KENNY).
