AI for Art and Music Makers, Ages 8-10

Kids discover how artificial intelligence can be a creative helper for making pictures and music. Students explore kid-friendly AI tools to turn ideas into colorful artwork, catchy beats, and short songs—no drawing or musical experience needed. Through playful experimentation, kids learn how to describe ideas clearly, make creative choices, and use AI safely and responsibly while building confidence as young creators.

Daily Themes & Activities

  • Day 1: Meet Your Creative AI

    • AI or Not? Game – Sort examples of things made by people vs. AI helpers.

    • Prompt Play – Practice turning simple ideas (moods, colors, sounds) into clear instructions.

  • Day 2: AI Art Studio

    • Style Switch – Create the same picture in different art styles using AI tools.

    • Remix & Improve – Change colors, details, and moods to see how choices affect results.

  • Day 3: AI Music Lab

    • Mood to Music – Generate short songs by choosing tempo, instruments, and feeling.

    • Listen Like a Creator – Compare tracks and talk about what makes music sound happy, calm, or exciting.

  • Day 4: Art + Music Mash-Up

    • Soundtrack an Image – Match music to artwork and explain why it fits.

    • Creative Choices Challenge – Adjust art or music to better tell a story.

  • Day 5: Creative Showcase

    • Final Project – One AI-assisted artwork paired with an original music track.

    • Share & Reflect – Present creations and discuss how AI helped (and what kids decided themselves).

No coding required. All tools are age-appropriate and used with guidance.
