A Patriotic Scavenger Hunt on Red, White, and Blue Day! (Short Hills Week 2)

Today at Short Hills was Red, White, and Blue Day which had students dress up in their favorite Red, White, and Blue outfits! They also had the opportunity to take part in some fun patriotic activities through the day.

Even though the temperature was too hot for us to go outside and take part in some outdoor activities, we did not let it dampen our patriotic spirit! We instead watched the most patriotic movie we could think of: Pixar’s Cars!

In the afternoon, students got to participate in a patriotic scavenger hunt involving hidden images and rhyming clues leading them to famous figures and landmarks. The hunt was spread over two rooms allowing multiple classes to take part in the fun!

Later on in the day we had our first fire drill of the Summer. Students were on their best behavior during the drill and could be counted on to move fast and make smart decisions!

All in all it was a very productive and spirited day here at Short Hills!
