Exciting Experiments in NASA Journey to Outer Space!

This week at Short Hills, our NASA Journey to Outer Space class has featured a myriad of fun, engaging experiments that allows students to simulate the vastness of outer space! Students learn about forces of flight, challenges of space travel, and much, much more!
Students are fascinated by an experiment involving dry ice and its sublimation!
Today, students participated in an experiment with dry ice. The experiment simulated an asteroid crashing into a planet, and dry ice represented the nitrogen reaction that would ensue.
Student help their teacher add materials to create a comet experiment!
Students have learned all about recent quests for exploration of our solar system by scientists and look forward to blasting off themselves!

This course provides students with a great opportunity to explore their love for and interest in space.

Students are excited to dive deeper into the topic of space exploration with more experiments throughout the rest of the week!
