Halloween in July at Short Hills

Yesterday at Short Hills, it wasn’t just summer, it was Halloween in July! Campers arrived in costume, ready to celebrate with a full day of spooky, silly, and action-packed activities. From princesses and aliens to athletes and Star Wars characters, the creativity was on full display across camp.

The day kicked off with a Star Wars twist on a classic game: “Darth Vader Says.” Campers followed commands (or didn’t!) from Vader himself, laughing and moving as they tried to stay in the game.

Next up was a camp-wide showdown: Light Side vs. Dark Side Soccer. With Jedi and Sith battling it out on the field, campers worked together in teams, showing off their skills and Star Wars spirit in an epic match full of fun.

To finish off the day’s themed events, everyone gathered for the Monster Mash Freeze Dance. With Halloween tunes blasting, campers danced their hearts out—freezing in place each time the music stopped. It was the perfect way to end a wild, imaginative day.

From galactic games to ghoulish grooves, Halloween in July was a huge hit. We loved seeing campers embrace the theme and bring their costumes to life!
