Kicking off a New Week: Chatham 2025 Week 5

We’re kicking off a fresh week at camp, and the energy is off the charts! Whether you’re a returning camper or joining us for the first time, this week is packed with exciting new classes, unforgettable activities, and a few surprises that will make your summer experience even more magical. Let’s dive into what’s happening!

🕶️ New Classes Are in Session!

We’re thrilled to spotlight four classes that are already sparking creativity, curiosity, and some major wow moments:

🔹 Virtual Reality (VR):
Campers are stepping into whole new worlds with our VR class! From underwater adventures to space explorations, our young tech pioneers are learning how virtual environments work—and having a blast doing it. Today, a group of campers designed their own mini VR games, and the excitement was contagious.

🔹 Fun with Physics:
Ever wondered why things bounce, fly, or fall the way they do? In this hands-on class, campers are testing gravity, launching mini rockets, and using everyday materials to build amazing chain reactions. The highlight so far? Yesterday’s egg drop!

🔹 Digital Art:
Creativity is going digital! Campers are using tablets and design software to create everything from anime characters to cityscape art pieces.

🔹 Chemical Engineering:
Lab coats on, goggles ready! This class is part experiment station, part mad science lab (the safe kind, of course). Campers are learning about chemical reactions, mixing up colorful potions, and making their own polymers. It’s messy. It’s brilliant. It’s science like you’ve never seen it.

🛝 Break Time = Epic Fun

When it’s time to take a break from all that learning and creating, the fun doesn’t stop. Campers are heading outside for:

• Playground Time: From swings to slides and some serious climbing skills, our playground is buzzing with activity every break.
• Gaga Ball Battles: It’s fast, it’s competitive, and it’s become one of the most beloved camp traditions. Campers are mastering the art of dodging, ducking, and diving in the Gaga pit—some matches are getting intense!

🎃 Looking Ahead: Halloween Theme Day!

Don’t forget—tomorrow is Halloween Theme Day! Whether you’re planning to dress up as a superhero, a spooky ghost, or your favorite pop culture icon, we can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.
