Murder Mystery Take-Over:
This week at Wayne Camp, we have Murder Mystery Creation. Where the campers work together to solve mysteries while also learning how to create their own. I asked a couple of campers what their murder mystery was about, and they responded by giving me a quick blurb. The descriptions are below:
First, we will begin with a sleepover murder mystery:
Zayna was enjoying a sleepover at one of her friends house when all of a sudden Zoey found a body upstairs in the bathroom. Zayna and her mother, who is a detective, take on the task of solving this murder mystery in a day. Piling a list of suspects, with Zoey being the main suspect, and searching for clues. Will Zayna and her mom be able to find the murder before sunrise, and will they realize their main suspect may not be the right one?
Followed by medieval times in the Kingdom of Nothing:
Jack, the adviser, goes to King Lancaster to ask him for money to help the people of the kingdom so they can buy their food. King Lancaster laughs and tells Jack there is no way to leave him alone at once. The following day, Jack finds the King to appear as he is in a deep sleep, but as he approaches him, he notices the King is dead. Michael, the King’s sleuth, is on the case of finding the true murderer and the meaning behind the King’s death.
Ending with Modern-Day Fantasy Murder Mystery:
On July 16th, at 9:23 PM, the dead body of Katie Chase, daughter of Duke Oliver and Duchess Evelyn Chase, was found in an upstairs guest bedroom. She had been attending Prince Zachary’s party when the tragedy struck. Multiple guests were questioned and narrowed down to ten suspects. You, as a reader, must be a detective and find out who killed Katie Chase. Will you solve the mystery and earn the award of $20,000? Turn the pages and find out for yourself.
