Welcome to a world of discovery, creativity, and fun at the Wee STEAMers Pre-K Camp, where young minds explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through engaging, hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and joyful learning. Campers will create art inspired by science themes, develop problem-solving skills with Bee-Bot robots, tackle LEGO building challenges, and enjoy math-based scavenger hunts, counting songs, and shape activities. With captivating stories, language games, outdoor play, and playful team challenges, this camp fosters creativity, confidence, and a love for learning, all in a nurturing and laughter-filled environment.
This class is about hands-on fun and exercising our creativity. Kids will be playing with their food…after making them. They will be making cakes, burgers and other favorite foods using modeling clay. They will make flower arrangements inspired by the artist, Georgia O’Keefe. They will make pop-up cards that Hallmark would be envious of. Finally, the kids will put on a puppet show using puppets they design and create.
People have been playing with chemistry for thousands of years, by stirring things together and boiling concoctions. Students will walk the path of early chemists by making perfumes, soap, chemical batteries and synthetic dyes. This class is part arts and crafts, part drama and whole lot of creativity! Aesop fables and fairy tales will come alive as campers create the shoebox set and paper “puppets”. They will learn the lines for the characters in the story and put 0n a show!
