3D Printing Advanced is designed to further a student’s 3D modeling skills using more sophisticated applications. Students will explore “soft modeling,” which uses digital brushes that mold virtual clay or wireframes and “solid modeling,” which uses traditional CAD methods. The class will use SketchUp and OnShape and skills gained in this class will be largely transferable to more advanced software for future architects, engineers and product designers. At the completion of the course, each student will select two items he/she designed to be printed.
Your tuition includes:
- 1 week (Monday to Friday)
- 15 hours of direct instruction and guidance from a live instructor
- curriculum of mini-lessons and hands-on projects to learn by doing
- 3D print of two items designed by camper to take/sent home
