Junior Naturalist, Ages 7-9

Description:
Take a walk on the wild side and uncover the amazing ways animals and insects survive and thrive on Earth! In this immersive course, budding naturalists will explore the fascinating relationships between predators and prey, the secrets of the food chain, and how creatures adapt to their environments.

What We’ll Discover:

  • Predators and Prey: Learn how birds and beasts catch their meals and the strategies animals use to stay safe in the wild.
  • Ecosystem Interactions: Understand how changes in wind, water, and temperature affect Earth’s inhabitants, from tiny insects to mighty mammals.
  • Animal Adaptations: Discover how animals use scent trails, camouflage, and other tools to navigate their world.


Hands-On Adventures:

  • Build a wooden birdhouse to attract feathered friends.
  • Dissect owl pellets to uncover the diets of these fascinating nocturnal hunters.
  • Create a bug house to observe critters up close and study their behaviors.
  • Make plaster animal tracks to identify and learn about local wildlife.

About International Ivy

International Ivy strives to promote the best learning environment for students between the age of 4-14 in subjects such as Robotics, Video Game Creation, Computer Programming, Digital Design, Science, Math, Business, Language Arts, Visual Arts and more.

Located at various locations throughout New Jersey, International Ivy has served almost 10,000 students since its founding in 2011 and has grown to be one of the largest academic and technology camps in the state.
