The Creative Writers of Short Hills

This week in creative writing workshop campers got to explore writing and poetry skills, word choice, figurative language, and short story structure and creation.

Campers have suggested that their favorite exercises so far in class are quick writes, ode writing, rhyming, and our Greek mythology debates. Our younger creative writers listed their favorite genres as poetry, fiction, realistic fiction, fantasy, non-fiction, Naval history, and historical fiction.

The youth writers are most looking forward to creating their own short stories, while incorporating many details, and creating their own intricate, fantastical, and magical stories!
