What a wonderful week 3 at Somerset! In the mornings, students learned the various steps that go into creating an movie, as well as creating their own original films in film-making. In murder mystery creation, campers delved into the details needed to create a compelling murder mystery, and finished with writing their own suspenseful mysteries.
The afternoons brought in a whole new set of exciting and educational classes. In Stop-Action Animation, students used Legos, drawings, play-doh, and anything else they could imagine to create original short animated films. Campers learned some yoga, wrote stories, and learned about different countries in Youngster Right-Brain Mix. Finally, our fantastic Minecraft Engineers got to create virtual buildings, communities, and landmarks they could interact with online.
But wait, there’s more! At International Ivy, the fun doesn’t stop with the classes. At break times, we used the wonderful Rutgers Preparatory School playground, played board games with friends, and even competed in high-stakes scavenger hunts.
And today, campers finally get to cash in the Ivy Points they’ve been earning all week for fun prizes from the Treasure Chest! There’s truly no better way to spend summer than at International Ivy. We can’t wait for Monday – the start of week 4! Enjoy these two pictures from today of our campers wearing their ivy camp shirts!
