Clay Creations Come to Life: Short Hills Week 3

Our 3D Art & Sculpture campers brought their clay creations to life this week!

Yesterday, campers carefully sculpted expressive clay faces, each featuring a different emotion. From big smiles and excited expressions to fearful looks and playful winks, every piece showcased each artist’s imagination and attention to detail. After letting the clay air-dry overnight, the sculptures were ready for their next transformation.

Today, campers added vibrant colors and unique designs to their creations. Some chose realistic skin tones, while others let their imaginations take over with bold patterns, bright colors, and creative details. No two sculptures looked alike, making each one a true reflection of its artist’s personality.

This project gave campers the opportunity to explore facial expressions, practice sculpting techniques, and experiment with color while discovering that art is all about creativity and self-expression. We loved seeing each unique face come to life!
