Towering into Day Two: Short Hills Week 2

Hello campers! As we finish up our second day of our USA-themed week, International Ivy is already off to an amazing start with exciting activities and plenty of smiles. From the moment camp began, campers have been busy learning new skills, making friends, and challenging themselves in a variety of classes. This week, we are spotlighting our Civil Engineering class, where campers designed and built towers to see which one could be the tallest and which could hold the most screws. Along the way, campers shared that they learned the importance of having a strong foundation, learning from their mistakes, and never giving up when a design didn’t work the first time. The tallest tower reached an impressive 4 feet, while the strongest tower held an incredible 180 screws before reaching its limit. We can’t wait to see what the rest of our USA-themed week has in store for our campers at International Ivy!
