Camp came alive with color, creativity, and plenty of throwback energy during Decades Day, as campers and staff dressed in outfits inspired by different eras and celebrated music from across the generations. As we celebrate the end of the camp season we looked back at all the decades!

From poodle skirts and leather jackets to tie-dye shirts, neon accessories, denim looks, tracksuits, and Y2K-inspired styles, every decade had a moment to shine. Campers arrived ready to show off their creativity, with outfits representing the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and beyond. Staff joined in the fun as well, helping transform the day into a lively celebration of fashion, music, and camp spirit.

The energy continued throughout the day with music from across the decades. Classic rock, disco, pop, hip-hop, dance hits, and familiar favorites filled the air, giving campers and staff plenty of chances to sing along, dance, and enjoy the sounds of different time periods. Each song added to the festive atmosphere, creating a fun connection between generations of music and style.

Decades Day also gave campers a chance to express individuality while learning about trends from different time periods. Some outfits reflected iconic fashion moments, while others added a playful camp twist to retro looks. The result was a bright, cheerful day full of laughter, movement, and memorable photo opportunities.

The theme encouraged participation across the entire camp community. Whether dressed in bold neon, groovy patterns, vintage denim, or classic retro accessories, everyone contributed to the excitement. Staff enthusiasm helped make the day even more engaging, creating a welcoming environment where campers felt encouraged to join in and celebrate.
